The stroke mortality rate in 2019 for Black people in Washoe County is 2.24% which is in line with the Black population. 

Heart Disease and Heart Attack have historically trended up for Black people in Washoe County for the years 2015- 2018. 

In 2018, 9.19% of the total Black population in Washoe County had heart disease and 11.8% of the total Black population of Washoe County had a heart attack in 

Obesity among Black people in Washoe County has historically trended up from 2015 through 2018. 

In 2018, Black people reported being overweight or obese at levels which represent 65%  of the total Black population. Black people made up less than 3% of the total population of Washoe County in 2018. 

Diabetes rates have historically trended up for Black people in Washoe County from 2015 through 2018.

Black people who have been told they had diabetes reported at levels that equal 23% of the total Black population in 2018.

In 2019 5.69% of the total deaths to diabetes were by Black people who make up less than 3% of the total population of washoe County.   

The historic data  indicates a potential combination of increased reporting of the noted mental health issues and/or an increase in access to mental health resources. 

On average approximately 20% of the average Black population in Washoe County from 2015- 2018 reported poor mental health for 2 or more weeks.  15% of the Black population during this same time frame reported difficulty concentrating
